Great turnout from the Junior Members today. Conditions were very tough on a hilly course that was very muddy and heavy underfoot due to the long thick grass and torrential rainfall. Despite this everyone ran very well and with great determination. Well done all.

| Isobel Hughes on CBBC |
While competing at the UK school games Isobel was asked to apply for a TV programme to promote the Olympics. Over 400 applied for the Welsh team, from all sports, from which 24 were chosen to go to Scotland for filming. The mentor for the Welsh team was Christian Malcolm.
At the end of the first day 16 were sent home after competing against each other.
The remaining 8 challenged each other for the chance to represent the Welsh team of 2 boys and 2 girls. For the rest of the week, the events included Archery, Basketball (coached by Phillips Idowhu) Kayaking, Sprinting (Kelly Sotherton), Mountain Biking and a very difficult obstacle course.
This week the final 8 episodes are being filmed with each country competing against each other on a course resembling a cross between Gladiators and Total Wipeout.
The 11 half hour episodes will be shown in the early part of next year on CBBC.
Good Luck to Isabel from all at Bridgend AC. |
